Chief Executive

We are seeking a forward-thinking strategic leader to join the authority.

The successful candidate will join the 5th largest authority in Wales as the Chief Executive with overall responsibility of over 8,500 staff, delivering council services to 175,500 residents.

We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in leadership to guide the Senior Team and work in partnership with Elected Members to provide strategic leadership, advice and direction to the Council to deliver its strategic direction, vision and values in accordance with the Corporate Plan 2023 - 2028.

To be considered for this role it is essential to hold a relevant professional / management qualification to degree standard or qualifications set at a similar level within the Credit and Qualifications Framework.
